Friends of the Tay AGM, 2025 Watershed Programs and Wetlands Review

Join the ‘Friends’ on Thursday, March 27, at 2:00, at the Perth Legion, for a review of past year results, launch of new watershed activities this year, and a presentation on the critical issue of wetland protection in the area. 

Keynote speaker, Doreen Donald, will present “Wetlands – Challenges from Bill 23, and Potential Impact on the Environment & our Water”. Doreen Donald is a Board Member and Coordinator of Nature-based Climate Solutions with Climate Network Lanark.  Wetlands, which are major instruments for flood control, maintenance of our water resources, and carbon storage, are being lost faster than any of our ecosystems, and under threat from development and legislation. 

Come at 2:00 for refreshments, meet our Board and visit the displays (AGM at 2:30).  The Perth Legion is located at 26 Beckwith St East in Perth.
