Reeve Steve Fournier 'Arrested' for 'Asking for a special discount on cheese from the Balderson Village Cheese store' - Needs Your Assistance in 'Bail Out'

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has partnered with several local municipalities for a fundraising initiative to assist area food banks. Members of local government have volunteered to be “arrested” for various “crimes” and they need donations from the public to be released. Donations will be accepted towards their ‘bail’ until June 23rd, 2023.
 
The following persons are being “held” on numerous charges:
• Linda Seccaspina, Town of Carleton Place Council Member: Multiple fashion crimes
• Steve Fournier, Drummond-North Elmsley Reeve: Asking for a special discount on cheese from the Balderson Village Cheese store.
• Peter McLaren, Lanark County Warden: Overpromoting Lanark County
 
Donations for the Perth Food Bank are being accepted at the Drummond/North Elmsley Municipal office at 310 Port Elmsley Road. Donations can be food items or monetary.
