Community Building Fund
The Community Building Fund – Operating stream provides support for non-profits and Indigenous communities in the community arts and culture, heritage, tourism, sport and recreation sectors to help sustain their operations and create new attractions, experiences and events.
The fund will enable organizations to remain viable so they can continue to improve quality of life and provide services, jobs, educational opportunities, and programming for Ontarians.
- Applications will be accepted starting March 31, 2021

Fire Ban Notice - No Open Burning effection April 5, 2021
Fire Ban Update: Starting Monday April 5th, 2021 there will be a complete fire ban in effect for the Townships of Drummond/North Elmsley and Tay Valley, as well as Lanark County.
No open burning of any kind is permitted until the ban is lifted.

Worker Impact Survey
Today, the Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark launched the Worker Impact Survey in Renfrew County and Lanark County, in conjunction with five other local workforce planning boards in Eastern Ontario. The survey, open from March 15th to April 30th, allows individuals to share information about their employment challenges over the last year. Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail Temporary Closed to Motorized Vehicles
Notice from Lanark County: OVRT temporary closed to motorized vehicles
As a result, effective immediately (Tuesday, March 16, 2021), the OVRT is closed to motorized vehicles until early April to allow for the trail to dry out. Your patience is appreciated.

In accordance with the OVRT Trail Management Plan, this is an annual occurrence and as per the By-Law, no ATV’s are permitted on the trail prior to April 1st (or later depending on the weather and trail conditions).

The Township of Drummond/North Elmsley has released mapping tools on their website to help both residents and visitors explore assets and opportunities in Drummond/North Elmsley.
Interactive Community Map
The Interactive Community Map highlights a range of recreational and cultural points of interest including canoe routes and snowmobile trails, walking and cycling trails, and points of interest such as cemeteries, beaches, boat launches, and parks. Fire hall locations and buffers allow residents to find out how far their property is from the nearest fire hall.
The icon for the Interactive Community Map is on the home page at www.dnetownship.ca/, making it easy to find.
Official Plan and Zoning Maps
The Official Plan and Zoning Map allows you to see these designations for any property in the Township. The Official Plan Map includes information like flood lines around waterfront properties, and municipal drains serving agricultural areas. The Zoning Map indicates the type of development allowed according to zone. Designations such as general commercial, residential, agricultural and environmental protection provides valuable information to realtors, potential buyers, and residents considering development on their property.

Municipal Offices Now Open to the Public
Municipal Offices Now Open to the Public
For appointments with staff between the hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
For your healthh and safety, please continue to conduct as much business as possible online, by email and/ or by telephone. We recommend making payments via online banking or by using the drop box outside the front door in order to minimize Interpersonal contact.
The following health and safety measures are in place for anyone entering this building:
-A maximum of 2 visitors will be admitted to the municipal office at one time.
-Anyone entering the building will be asked to provide inform at ion f or contact tracing.
-Masks are mandatory inside the building (except for medical exemptions.)
-Hand sanitizer must be used upon entrance to the lobby.
-Social distancing must be maintained while await in g access and once inside the building.
-The drop box outside the front door will continue to be available for delivery of documents and building plans. The secure wall slot is available to deliver cheques and money orders.
